Spent 3 weeks trying to teach my group Spirit Island and it turned into a rules argument at 1am
Tried to get my Wednesday group into Spirit Island back in January, and we spent the whole first night just on setup and the fear deck. One guy kept insisting the invaders phase worked a different way, so we looked it up, and he was right, which meant we had been playing the last two turns wrong. We ended up restarting at 11pm with cold pizza and a lot of grumbling. The whole thing took 3 weeks before anyone actually won a game. How do you all teach a heavy co-op without someone at the table turning it into a courtroom debate?
