Watched a guy at my Tuesday night game group go from 4 hour turns to 45 minutes in 6 weeks
There is a guy named Dave who joined our board game group at the library in Tucson back in June. First session he took almost 4 hours on one game of Twilight Imperium because he read every single card out loud and counted every move twice. After 6 weeks of playing with us he finished a full game of Wingspan in 45 minutes and even called out another player for slow play. The change was that he stopped trying to win and just started playing. Anyone else seen a new player flip like that once they quit overthinking every turn?
