My trusty old Makita drill chuck seized solid yesterday afternoon, so I soaked it overnight in a 50/50 mix of acetone and ATF and it spun free this morning.

My old drill chuck was totally frozen last year. I gave it a few solid taps with a rubber mallet like @simong79 said and it came right loose, no mess. Why risk cleaning out all the good grease?

Arguing with my partner after our lantern broke in the rain, is it water resistance or just bad luck?

Seriously, it's just a lantern. @parker_harris14 had the same issue with overnight dampness. Water resistance isn't waterproof, so a heavy drizzle could wreck it. Arguing over bad luck vs. specs is pointless.

Why does nobody talk about how travel memoirs tear book clubs apart?

Seriously? Nodding and smiling is how good conversations die. Those table flipping arguments mean you actually care about the words, the story, the whole point of reading the thing. Passion about a book is a good thing, even if it gets loud. Walking away from that fight just means we all get boring takes and quiet rooms. I miss when people would actually yell about a chapter being wrong.

Heads up on composite decking expansion gaps

Yeah, and if water pools up, it's not just ugly. That moisture gets underneath and starts rotting the boards way faster than you'd think. Then you're looking at a full replacement instead of just a fix.

Journaling at night cleared my head more than I expected

Skyler, you say that about everything though. Is it really that big of a deal?
