Dropped the gym membership to split wood by hand instead, and my heating bill dropped $70 last month
The gym in town wanted $45 a month and I was driving 20 minutes each way, so I cancelled it and put that toward a decent splitting maul. Cut and stacked two cords from a tree that came down on my neighbor's lot in Northfield, and January's propane fill cost me $70 less than last year. Anyone else here heating mostly with wood, and how do you keep the splits dry when it rains for a week straight?
