My uncle in Rutland asked why I still haul water by hand and it bugged me for a week
Everyone here pushes rain barrels and gutter setups, but after 3 winters of frozen lines and cracked plastic in his setup, I keep my 5 gallon jugs from the Spring Street spring because hauling 40 gallons a week by hand is honestly less work than fixing a system that quits every January, so what am I missing about why folks swear by the barrel thing?
