My wood stove hit 500 degrees and I finally got why people track this stuff
Last Tuesday I was feeding the stove in my place near Keene and the pipe thermometer read 500 for the first time ever. I always figured folks bragging about stove temps were just showing off numbers. But that mark meant my firewood was dry enough, my draft was set right, and I hadn't had to relight the kindling all day. Some people say it's all about the burn time or the cord cost, but I think the real win is knowing your setup is finally working. Which number matters more to you, the heat output or the amount of wood you use per night? Has anyone else hit a random milestone that made the whole thing click?
