PSA: my library card gets me free state park passes, found out at the Concord library
I was just there returning a book on canning and the librarian mentioned the New Hampshire state parks pass program. You check out a pass for a week at a time and get into any day use spot for free, which saved me the $5 per adult at Bear Brook. Anybody know if the other New England states run this same deal?
Wait so how does the checkout thing actually work, do you need to go in person or can you reserve it ahead of time? I'm asking because Bear Brook is like 40 min from me and I'd be pretty annoyed to drive to Concord just to find out all the passes are already gone for the week. Do they limit how many they have per library, and can you renew it if nobody else is waiting? Also does it cover the whole car or just one person, because $5 a head adds up fast with kids.
