I keep my beans in the freezer and I dont care who judges me
Tbh I saw a post last week in here about how freezing beans ruins the oils and everyone piled on. Ive been freezing my daily batch for about 2 years now, single doses in little glass jars, and my cups taste just as good as when I left them out. I live in Phoenix where its 110 degrees for half the year, so room temp storage turns my beans stale in 4 days flat. The freezer gets me a solid 3 weeks of consistent flavor with my V60 setup. Has anyone actually done a side by side blind test, or are we just repeating what some roaster said on a podcast?
