Remember when everyone used a 10-inch trowel for everything?

I had to choose between sticking with my old 10-inch or switching to a 12-inch for a big foundation job in Spokane last year, and the extra coverage saved me a full day. Anyone else make that switch and find it changed their pace?

Switching to a 12-inch felt like cheating at first. I was so used to that 10-inch, it was like a security blanket. But after one big pour, I realized I'd been working way harder, not smarter. That extra width just moves material so much faster. My back still thanks me for making the change.

I always figured the ten inch was the right tool for control. Then I had to spread a whole yard of topsoil and my mind was changed pretty fast. That extra couple inches makes a huge difference.
