I thought those $1.25 bags of frozen mixed veggies were sad, then I ran the math
I always walked past the frozen vegetable wall at Food Lion thinking it was a waste of freezer space compared to fresh. Last week I finally added it up, and a bag of frozen peppers and onions for $1.25 gave me 4 dinners worth of stir fry and soup base. Fresh would have run me close to $7 for the same amount, and half of it would have gone soft in my crisper drawer before I used it. Now I keep 3 bags stacked in the door and I have not tossed a slimy pepper in 10 days. Does anyone have a frozen veg that surprised them like this, or one that was a total letdown?
