Watched a guy at the Portland Saturday Market pay $9 for a bowl of rice and beans and I almost lost it
Stopped by the Portland Saturday Market this past weekend and grabbed lunch at one of the food stalls. The stand was selling rice and beans for $9 a bowl, which is like a dollar of ingredients if that. Meanwhile I can make a whole pot of the same thing at home for about $3 and eat it for four meals. I get that you're paying for convenience and the market vibe but it still bugs me. Anyone else see stuff like this and just think about how easy it would be to make at home?
