Got charged $9 for a bottle of water at a hotel in Chicago and now I pack my own snacks
Two weeks ago I stayed at a budget hotel near O'Hare and the only food within walking distance was a corner store charging $9 for a water bottle and $14 for a sad sandwich. I started carrying a small cooler bag with granola bars, a refillable bottle, and instant coffee packets, which saved me about $60 over the four day trip. Does anyone have a go-to cheap airport meal trick for when you can't bring food through security?
