Rented a car in Phoenix vs taking the bus, the math surprised me
Last month I had to get from Phoenix to Tucson for a weekend gig. Rental was $68 a day plus gas and parking, and the bus was $32 round trip. I figured the car would save me time, but the 2 hour drive became 3 with traffic and I still had to hunt for parking once I got there. Bus dropped me right downtown, I just walked everywhere. Anyone else ditched rentals for long distance bus trips on a budget?
