Always thought weekly spreads had to be fancy, then I saw a coworker's plain one in Chicago
Tbh, I spent 3 months adding washi tape and doodles until I glanced at her simple list-style layout during a meeting, and now I just write three tasks a day with no decorations, has anyone else ditched the pretty stuff for pure function?

Oh gosh, the real secret is that pretty spreads actually make you do LESS work because you're spending all your time making them pretty instead of doing the tasks! I found that out the hard way when I timed myself one Sunday and realized I'd spent 45 minutes on a monthly calendar that I could've just written in 5. What nobody talks about is how a plain layout actually helps you remember things better, because your brain isn't getting distracted by colors and stickers when it looks at the page. Plus, when you keep it bare, you're way more likely to actually open it daily instead of treating it like a art project you finish once a week.
