I finally told my coworker her weekly habit tracker was stressing me out
She stood at my desk in November and said my minimalist two-page spread looked lazy next to her color coded habit grids, so I asked her if she tracks how much time she spends tracking, and she just blinked at me, has anyone else had a work buddy turn bullet journaling into a competition?
That line about asking her if she tracks how much time she spends tracking is so good, because it points at the real problem. I used to be the person with the color coded grids, like five different pens and a whole system for my system. Then one day I realized I was spending more time setting up the tracker than doing any of the stuff I was supposedly tracking, and the whole thing was just stress in a pretty package. Your two page spread probably gets used way more than her fancy one ever does, and that is the whole point of a habit tracker. It is supposed to make your life easier, not turn into a second job you have to keep up with. Sounds like she needed that question more than she wanted to hear it.
