My Google Calendar setup made me give up my daily log after 45 days

I tried switching to full digital planning for a month and a half because my paper journal kept getting buried under work papers. Surprisingly, it worked better than I expected. I could move appointments around without erasing, set reminders for bills, and even color code my kids' activities. But last week I had a power outage for 2 days and my whole system fell apart. I missed a dentist appointment and paid a $40 no-show fee. I went back to my trusty notebook today. Has anyone else tried going digital and then crawled back to paper? What made you decide? Or did anyone stick with digital after a similar glitch?
