Why does nobody talk about the fact that I was numbering my bullet journal pages like an absolute maniac for 8 months
I was numbering every single page including the index and future log, which meant the actual notes never lined up with anything, and I only figured it out when my roommate glanced at my October spread and asked why page 1 came after page 14. Does anyone else just number the spreads and skip the boring pages, or am I the only one who made this way harder than it needed to be?
Why do we do this with everything though? People love overcomplicating simple stuff because it feels more official. Like my cousin who alphabetized her spice rack but then couldnt find the paprika because she filed it under "P" for paprika when she actually labeled the jar "smoked." You numbered the boring pages because you thought that was the "right" way, and the right way was just whatever made your notes make sense. Half of adult life is realizing the rules you made up in your head were never rules at all.
