My uncle swore a $30 cast iron pan from a flea market in Ohio would outlast me, and 12 years later I'm the one getting replaced
He handed it to me at a family cookout in 2012 and said the rough ones cook better than anything new, and he was right, it's been on my stove almost daily since. The seasoning still holds up even after I accidentally left it in the sink overnight twice. Anyone else got a cheap flea market find that quietly outlasted all their fancy stuff?
