Noticed something odd at the Portland Farmers Market last Saturday
I was walking through the Portland Farmers Market last weekend and saw a guy carrying a pair of leather boots that looked almost new, but he said he had them for 12 years. He mentioned he just gets them resoled every few years at a local shop downtown. Has anyone else found a cobbler that can keep your favorite boots going that long?

OH WOW, that reminds me of my dad who still wears his high school letterman jacket from 1985!

That "high school letterman jacket from 1985" line got me good. My dad does the same thing with an old army jacket he's had since the 70s, it's absolutely wrecked but he swears it's the most comfortable thing he owns. I used to bug him about it but now I just let him have it, it makes him happy and honestly most people think it looks cool.
