Learned to offer my moving boxes in batches after a mess at the Fells Point block party
Two summers ago I dragged 14 flattened boxes to our block party in Baltimore with a marker that said "free boxes, take some." By noon every single one was gone but three people had also walked off with my folding table and a cooler, because I never said what was actually free. Now I post one batch at a time with a photo and a porch pickup window, and it works so much better. Last month a couple expecting twins took all 9 of my Amazon boxes in one afternoon. Does anyone else get nervous about porch pickups, or do you just leave stuff out and hope for the best?
