That free bookcase from the curb had a surprise in the back panel

Last month I grabbed a solid oak bookcase from someone's curb on Maple Street, and when I got it home I found a 1987 playoff ticket stub and a $5 bill tucked behind the back panel. It's not about the money, it's wild to think about who put it there and forgot it for 38 years. Has anyone else found random stuff hidden inside free furniture or boxes from this group?

and honestly that 5 dollars in 1987 was probably worth more than most people think, I mean that was like a whole meal back then. But what really gets me is who tucks a ticket stub behind a bookcase panel in the first place, that's such a deliberate hiding spot. Did you check the inside of the ticket for a name or any writing on the back? I found a wedding ring in a dresser once and it took me weeks to track down the original owner through a local buy nothing group, ended up being a really old lady who thought she lost it forever. That stub might have a story attached to it if you look close enough, maybe a date or the name of the other team that could lead somewhere.
