Clamped a drawer face crooked and had to redo the whole glue-up

Was rushing through a set of kitchen drawers last Friday, got the face clamped at a 2 degree tilt. Didn't notice until the glue was starting to set. Had to heat the joint back apart, scrape everything clean, and start over. Whole hour wasted on one stupid mistake. Anyone else hate fixing glue-ups more than the original work?

The way glue ups punish you for rushing is like a law of nature. Messed up a picture frame once and had to chisel hardened glue out of the miter joints. Felt like the universe was telling me to slow down and breathe. Same thing happens with paint sometimes, you look away for two seconds and get drips everywhere. Fixing stuff is never fun but it definitely teaches you to pay attention the second time around.

And yeah, @wade_perez, I had a similar moment where I glued my fingers to a project and had to walk around with a wood clamp attached to my hand for an hour (which is honestly a great conversation starter at parties, if you're weird like me). Nothing like a little self-inflicted punishment to remind you that patience is cheaper than a new bottle of acetone. I swear, every time I rush through a glue up now, the wood just sits there judging me.
