TIL my local cabinet shop only uses CNC machines now.

Stopped in to ask about joinery. Owner said they switched to all CNC work last year. Are other shops moving this way too?

Yeah, many shops are using CNCs now, but I'd check if they keep hand tools for special joinery.

What kind of work do they mostly do with the CNC now?

It's a lot of the repeat work, cutting big batches of identical parts. Leaves the tricky one-off stuff for the benches.
