Appreciation post: the $6 foam noodle trick for pulling cable through a packed wall cavity
Had a jammed up wall cavity in a 1920s house on Maple Street where fish tape kept snagging on old knob and tube wiring, spent 45 minutes cussing at it. Tried taping a pool noodle piece to the end of the tape to guide it around the junk and it slid through on the second try. Has anyone else used foam or something soft to keep fish tape from catching on old wires, or am I late to this?
