DAE get those days where every single job is a 2 hour drive and a 5 minute fix
Last Tuesday I had 4 calls queued up in Bakersfield and every one turned out to be a loose fitting behind the wall plate. Drove 118 miles total for maybe 20 minutes of actual wrench time. Then the last stop was an apartment where the tenant had painted over the coax outlet, so I had to cut it out with a box knife. I still hit my numbers for the day which blew my mind. Anyone else keep a running joke about how the gas mileage is the real boss of this job?
118 miles for 20 minutes of wrench time is brutal, but the part that gets me is the painted-over coax outlet. How often do you run into tenants or landlords who paint right over outlets and boxes like nobody will ever need to touch them again? That box knife moment probably saved you a callback, so it makes sense you still hit your numbers.
