TIL a $7 bag of lentils from Aldi lasted me 2 weeks of lunches

Hit up @emerycarr and tell him to try adding some frozen veggies to that rice, makes a world of difference. It's funny how the stuff that's always been cheap - lentils, beans, rice - is suddenly the only thing keeping a lot of us afloat these days. Seems like people are finally waking up to the fact that a simple pot of soup is way more reliable than overpriced meal kits or fast food.

Had a chat with my neighbor's grandma about weighing ingredients vs volume measuring

Take it easy, it's just banana bread. If your neighbor's grandma has been winging it with a cup scoop for half a century and nobody's complained, maybe the whole grams vs cups debate is overblown for everyday baking. Your weighed loaf was better, sure, but is being a few percent off really worth buying another gadget and making everyone feel bad about their cookies?

Hit 2000 tree risk assessments this month and I'm split on how we do them

Honestly that's wild, 2000 is no joke. Ngl I've had the same thing happen with a maple that looked fine from the ground but had a hollow spot the size of a basketball inside once I got up there. So yeah I'm leaning with the climb crew every time.

Appreciation post: LED therapy masks vs handheld wands for acne

Another thing people don't talk about is how the mask keeps your hands free. When I used a wand, I'd get lazy and skip days because I was too tired to hold it up. The mask lets you fold laundry, read a book, or just rest your eyes while it works. Makes a big difference for consistency, which is what really clears acne.

Spent 3 hours trying to fix a client's logo file before realizing it was a screenshot

But isn't it kinda our job to check the file type first?
