That $89 crimping tool from the big box store was junk from day one

Bought it last month for a 40-unit condo job in Portland and the dies misaligned on the third fitting, wasted a full morning and a roll of $120 quad shield. Anyone else had luck with a specific brand under $150 that actually holds up?

Funny you say that, same thing happened to me on a rental reno. Ended up grabbing a Klein for around $110 and it's still dead on after a couple hundred connections. Wish I'd skipped the cheap one and just bought it first.
