Took 3 visits to find noise on ch 7 that turned out to be water in the drop
Had a customer in Parma calling about a buzz on ch 7 only, everything else clean. Swapped the splitter, then the ground block, then the jack, and still had it. Finally climbed the pole and found a pinhole in the drop jacket letting water pool in a low loop, and the water seeped into the braid every time it rained. Signal looked perfect when I checked it dry, which is why it took me 3 trips over a week. Anyone else get fooled by a drop that only acts up on wet ground?
