Took down a whole block's service with one bad connector

Back in 2019 I was working a job off Maple Street in Akron, hooking up a new build. I used one of those cheap compression fittings without checking the center conductor was seated right. It grounded out and took out the whole tap, had six houses calling in no signal. Had to back track every drop on that leg before I found it.

Honestly though, maybe that cheap fitting did you a favor. If you hadn't found that mess early, you could've been dealing with way worse problems down the line from a shoddy install. That tap was gonna fail eventually anyway.

Wait, are we really acting like one cheap tap is gonna cause your whole house to collapse, @shane_wilson? Seems like a lot of drama over a 10 buck part.
