Found the secret to tracking down Saturday morning cartoon lineups of the 90s
For 4 years I kept half remembering shows from my childhood and driving myself nuts because I could not place where I saw them. I started writing down every fragment I could recall, like a theme song or a character name, then searched old TV listings on newspapers.com for the cable channels I grew up with in Bakersfield. My big break was figuring out that those weekend preview guides some local papers ran would list the full cartoon block hour by hour, so I traced a ton of stuff that way. The weird part is I found a show called Bump in the Night that I had totally forgotten, and it all came flooding back. Has anybody else used old newspaper listings to pin down stuff like this, or is there a better place to dig?
