6 months to get my SDI back pay, is that normal or did I get the runaround?
I applied for State Disability in late Feb after my back surgery at UC Davis Med Center. The claim sat in 'review' for like 4 months with no updates, then I called the Sacramento office and the rep said something about missing a form from my doctor that was never requested. Finally got paid in August, but I'm wondering if I just got unlucky or if this is the standard wait time everyone deals with. Anyone else have to fight the system this hard for their benefits, or did I hit a total bureaucratic mess on 4th and Q streets?
