My son's IEP meeting turned into a shouting match yesterday
We were at the district office in Fresno to finalize his new aide hours, but the admin kept saying we dont qualify for 12 hours because of budget stuff. I brought in last year's progress notes from his occupational therapist and the whole room got tense when I read them out loud. Has anyone else had to basically arm wrestle the school district just to keep supports they already had?

District offices pull that budget line every single time. We fought for six months just to keep speech therapy at the same level. The paperwork trail matters, but they will still try to run the clock out on you. Keep copies of everything and ask for their reasoning in writing. It usually gets less shouty when they know you are keeping receipts.
