The week Medi-Cal finally called back and my pharmacy run turned into a 3 hour comedy show
So two Mondays ago I get this letter saying my Medi-Cal renewal needs a phone interview, right? I call the number at 8am sharp, sit on hold for 47 minutes, and get a lady who tells me my case got flagged because they thought I moved to Fresno. I have never lived in Fresno in my life, I am in Victorville. She says no problem, just fax proof, and I am like what year is this, who owns a fax machine? So I drive to the library on Bear Valley Road, pay 15 cents a page, and the machine jams on page 3 of my lease. The librarian, sweet older guy, tries to fix it and somehow prints the same page 9 times. Then I get home and there is a voicemail saying my case worker changed and the new one needs the SAME papers mailed instead. Fine, whatever, I mail them. Exactly 4 days later I get a call saying I am approved and my dental benefits are back, which I had been fighting for since March. I honestly almost cried in the parking lot of a Stater Bros. Has anyone else had the fax versus mail thing bite them, or is it just my office?
