Used to haul my wheelchair ramp in the truck bed, now I keep it mounted full time

I used to take my portable ramp down every night and stash it in the garage (back in Fresno). But after I slipped on wet pavement last December trying to load it by myself, I switched to a foldable ramp that stays bolted to my van's hitch. It takes me maybe 30 seconds to deploy now instead of wrestling with it for 5 minutes. Has anyone else found a setup that cut down your daily loading time?

Wow, that ramp story hits close to home. I had a similar issue with my snowboard rack on my truck getting all rusted and stubborn until I just mounted a permanent one. Now I throw my board on in about ten seconds flat and I don't even think about it anymore.

Man that's EXACTLY the kind of thing I've been noticing more and more. Seems like every part of our daily routines has this hidden cost nobody talks about until you almost get hurt or waste years of your life doing it the hard way. My buddy in Arizona spent 10 minutes every morning folding and unfolding his walker to fit in his Corolla until he just said screw it and got a hatchback. Small changes add up BIG over time.
