Wasted a year fighting the wrong EDD phone line before a rep told me the disability number changed in 2023
I kept calling the old 800 number for SDI claims and getting nowhere, then a lady at the local office in Fresno finally told me they switched the whole system to a different routing line back in March. Has anyone else been hung up on by the automated system like 20 times before getting through?

The Fresno office lady was right. That number changed back in March 2023. But she left something out. The old number still works for PFL claims, just not SDI. I found that out the hard way after 15 calls.

Wait, is that REALLY true about the old number still working for PFL? My buddy spent THREE hours on hold last week before someone told him the same thing, but he swears it only worked on his fourth try after five different transfers.
