Crossed 1,000 shutters repaired, never expected that

Hit my 1,000th shutter repair last month over in Portland. I started counting back in 2019 just to track parts, and it got me thinking about how many 35mm cameras I've pulled apart since then. Anyone else keep a tally, or am I the only one weird about numbers?

Nah, counting repairs is just busywork that keeps you from actually enjoying the craft. You could have spent that energy learning new techniques or testing different films instead of staring at a tally sheet. Numbers don't fix cameras, your hands do.
