Finally figured out why my camp stove kept dying at 8,000 feet
Last trip to Grand Lake my stove would sputter and quit every time I got above treeline, and I burned through half a canister of fuel trying to fix it. Turned out the little o-ring on the fuel valve had dried out and a $3 replacement kit from the hardware store in Granby sorted it in about ten minutes after I fiddled with it for two hours. Does anyone else keep a spare parts kit in their pack or am I just scarred from this now?
