A hiring manager in Denver said to send a thank you note after every interview, and honestly I think that advice is pretty dead
I tested it both ways over about 20 interviews, and the only two offers I got came from places where I never sent one. The one time I did send a note, the guy replied 'thanks' and then ghosted me for 3 weeks before sending a rejection. Has anyone actually landed a job because of a thank you email, or are we all just doing it because someone older told us to?
