Stopped applying to jobs at night and my response rate doubled

I was sending out resumes at 11pm for months with zero callbacks. Switched to applying between 8am and 10am on weekdays and got 3 interviews in 2 weeks. Has anyone else noticed hiring managers ignore late-night apps?

@robert_smith36 nailed it with that "sad little beacon of rejection" line. Timing matters way more than people think. Hiring managers check apps in batches during their morning routine, not when they're half asleep scrolling at midnight. Your 2am resume gets buried under three hours of fresh submissions by the time they look at it.

Wait, so you're telling me my 2am resume blasts where I'm half asleep and misspelling my own name might not be landing with hiring managers? I used to crank out applications at midnight while watching Netflix reruns, wondering why no one called me back. Then I realized I was basically screaming into the void with my laptop glowing in the dark like a sad little beacon of rejection. Now I apply after my morning coffee when I can actually remember which job I'm even applying for. It turns out sob stories about "passionate night owl looking for work" don't hit the same when you're sending them at 3am.
