Warning: I shadowed a manager for a day instead of taking the online course, and it showed me more in 8 hours
Everyone pushes those LinkedIn Learning certificates, but I spent one Tuesday last September following my actual manager, Dana, through her whole day at our office in Boise. The course taught me general theory, while watching her handle a real client blowup and a budget talk with her boss showed me how the job actually works. Nobody tells you that sitting in on two hard meetings beats 6 hours of videos. Has anyone else skipped the formal training route and just followed someone around instead?
