Chose cordless over corded for a deck job in Tulsa, mixed feelings

Last month I had to frame a 400 square foot deck and picked a cordless nailer over my corded one. I figured the freedom would save time, but I burned through three batteries by noon and had to wait for charges. The corded gun never stopped, but I kept tripping over the hose. Ended up switching mid-job, which cost me an hour. Anybody else find cordless worth it only for small trim work?
