Cordless table saw or kept the old one on wheels

Had to pick between buying a cordless table saw or sticking with my old jobsite model that needs an outlet. I went cordless last month for a basement remodel in Toledo, no power nearby, and it handled 40 cuts of oak trim fine. Battery died half way through day two though, had to wait 30 minutes to charge. Anyone else run into the battery drain problem on big trim jobs?

The battery thing is honestly just the modern version of every tool tradeoff I've noticed lately. Like how my buddy's cordless nailer still can't sink a framing nail into old teak without bogging down, but the compressor version never even blinks. We keep trading raw power for convenience and pretending it's a fair deal. Your oak trim cuts probably went fine because oak is forgiving, but wait until you hit some dense maple or a stack of pressure treated lumber and watch that charge meter drop like a rock. It's the same pattern with drills, saws, even leaf blowers. We're all just charging battery after battery and calling it progress.

Man, you're not wrong about that. I keep a corded circular saw around just for pressure treated and wet lumber, and it's a night and day difference from my battery one. Saves me a whole charger swap mid-job, that's for sure.
