Dropped $85 on a corner chisel gadget at a trade show in Columbus, never cut a single hinge with it
The guy at the booth made it look slick on a pine block, but on real oak door jambs the thing wandered and chewed up the mortise worse than my old bench chisel. I messed up two jambs before I put it back in the box, and that was $85 plus a Saturday I can't get back. Has anyone found a corner chisel that actually holds an edge, or should I just go back to squaring corners by hand?
