I tried both a 12-inch and a 15-inch miter saw for a big trim job in a new build
The 15-inch blade let me cut the 6-inch baseboard in one pass, while the 12-inch needed two cuts and left a rough edge I had to sand. It saved me about an hour and a half on the whole house. Do you guys have a strong preference on blade size for finish work?

My crew switched to a 15-inch saw for baseboard last year. The single-pass cuts are just cleaner and faster on anything over five inches. I wouldn't go back to a 12-inch for that kind of work.

A 15-inch saw for baseboard? That's a beast, @patriciacarr. My old back hurts just thinking about lifting that thing all day.
