One bad Tuesday with a miter saw taught me to check the fence every time

Last month I was cutting baseboard for a living room in Spokane and my 45s kept coming up short by almost an eighth. Turns out the fence on my DeWalt had drifted after I bumped it moving lumber, cost me two hours and a full stick of poplar. Now I check it with a square before every job, even if I just used it. Anybody else had a fence move on them without noticing?
