Warning: I swore by solo jobs until last week's disaster.

Now I see why everyone teams up for big cuts... it's a no-brainer.

You called it a no-brainer, but how bad was it really? Most solo jobs go fine if you plan right and don't rush. A lot of times what people call a disaster is just a tough afternoon that spooked them. I've handled plenty of big cuts alone without needing a whole crew.

Think back to a job where the wood pinched the blade or the motor stalled under load. You had all the plans, but now you're holding a running saw that's stuck in a tree. How do you safely extract yourself without a second pair of hands? I've seen guys spend hours rigging pulleys alone for what a spotter could fix in minutes. What do you call that if not a disaster?

Iris might call it just a tough afternoon for me.

Totally agree, solo cuts can go sideways fast. Iris might call it a tough afternoon, but my last pinch was a legit nightmare that needed a crew to fix.
