A customer in Denver said something that made my whole week
I was finishing up a Berber install in a sunroom, and the homeowner, an older guy, just watched me work for a minute. He said, 'You make it look like that carpet grew there.' It happened last Thursday, and it was the best compliment I've gotten in a long time. Anyone else get a comment that just stuck with you?

Read a story once about a master stone mason who said the real goal was to make a wall look like it just found itself there. That's exactly what your customer was saying, that you made the work look natural and right. Those quiet comments from people who really see the craft are the best. Makes you feel like an artist, not just a person doing a job.
