That $400 power stretcher I bought was a total waste

I bought a top of the line power stretcher for $400 last spring thinking it would speed up my big residential jobs. After using it on 6 houses, I still reach for my kicker 90% of the time because the power stretcher is just too bulky for tight spaces and stairs. It ended up sitting in the corner of my truck more than it got used. Has anyone else dropped money on a tool that just didn't fit how you actually work?

Used to think I was the only one who felt that way, then I grabbed one and realized it's basically a one-trick pony for wide open rooms. My kicker gets way more use because it can actually fit in closets and around corners without a hassle. Hard to justify the price tag when the old way still wins most of the time.

Yeah the bulk is the real killer with those things. I keep mine for big open rooms but honestly a good kicker and a knee kicker combo covers like 95% of what I do day to day. That $400 could've bought a couple solid used tools that'd actually get used.
