Spent 11 days fighting a lender over my self employed income letter, one line in my P&L fixed it
I was trying to pull $65k out of my rental in Columbus and the underwriter kept kicking back my profit and loss statement because my write offs made my income look too low. I went back and forth with them for 11 days, sent the same docs like 4 times, and was about to give up. Turns out my bookkeeper had my mileage reimbursement listed as an expense instead of an add back, and once I fixed that one line the whole thing cleared in 3 days. Anyone else deal with underwriters not understanding how write offs work for self employed folks?
