Unpopular opinion: I quit buying chicken breasts and switched to whole legs at the market on Clark St
Two years back I was paying $4.99 a pound for boneless breasts like clockwork, then the price jumped to $6.49 at my Jewel-Osco here in Chicago and I just could not do it. Now I grab a 10 pound bag of leg quarters for $7.90 and roast them on Sunday, which works out to about 79 cents a pound and gives me way more flavor for soups and rice bowls. Does anyone else feel like the cheap cuts are the real win, or am I just late to this?
